Pricing questions

What happens when my free trial ends?

No payment is taken during the 10-day trial. If you haven't cancelled by the time it ends, your first payment is processed automatically and your plan starts. You can cancel at any point during the trial from the My Account section of the Editor.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Cancel from Editor > My Account before the end of your current billing period: your plan stays active until that date, it doesn't renew, and no further charges are made. Payments already processed are non-refundable, so cancelling mid-period doesn't trigger a partial refund.

Can I switch between plans?

Yes. Plan changes aren't automatic yet, so email support@sonicmaps.xyz and we'll take care of it. Upgrades take effect straight away and are prorated, so you only pay the difference for the time left in your current period. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal, which gives you time to bring your content within the limits of the new plan.

What happens to my projects if I cancel?

Once your subscription expires, your projects are no longer listed in the SonicMaps Player, but your data is kept for 30 days. During that time you can request a copy by emailing support@sonicmaps.xyz.

What happens if I go over my monthly visitors?

Nothing stops working. Visitor limits aren't hard caps: your project stays online, your account stays active, and we won't bill you for the extra without talking to you first. If you're regularly going over, we'll get in touch to suggest a plan that fits your audience.

What makes a project public?

Public projects are listed in the SonicMaps Player, where anyone can find and open them. We review them before they go on the list. Unlisted projects are visible only to you, and Private ones only to the people you authorise. Only public projects count towards your plan's limit.

Does my audience need an account to listen to my creations?

Public projects are open to anyone — no sign-up, no payment. Only private projects need an account, but the free Player-only account is enough.
