the Christopher columbus' statue, built in 1892 by Odoardo Tabacchi, is one of Santa Margherita Ligure's Symbols. Columbus is shown with his hand pointing to west. In front of him there's "the cannon", on which every citizen has been at least once in their life.

You are now in Villa Durazzo, one of Santa Margherita Ligure's most romantic places. This beautiful mansion, restored in 1678 and expanded in 1822, has inside the Vittorio Giovanni Rossi's artistic museum, dedicated to the native journalist and writer. Weddings are often celebrated here, and there are concerts and various types of event.
