Motorhane Soundwalk

Motorhane Soundscape is a community-led sound installation project that brings together local artists and residents through a collaborative creative process. Located in Merzifon—a rural city in Anatolia, far from Turkey’s mainstream art circuits—Motorhane is a former electricity plant that has been repurposed by local artists into a cultural and artistic space. This post-industrial site now serves as a focal point for community-driven cultural revitalization in the region. The Motorhane Soundscape project is part of an ongoing international program that invites artists from around the world to engage with this unique space. Artists are encouraged to design, produce, and perform site-specific interventions in collaboration with the local community.
